In all cases, it is your responsibility to seek appropriate professional treatment for any symptoms of disease or disorder you may be experiencing.  SCLC may advise you to seek other professional advice in the interests of your well-being.

Privacy and Confidentiality

As part of providing a counselling, life coaching, or psychotherapy service, SCLC or its employees, associates or partners will need to collect and record personal information that is relevant to a presenting issue or issues. This information is a necessary part of the consultative service provided to you.  All personal information gathered during the provision of the counselling and/or life coaching or psychotherapy service will remain confidential and secure unless compelled to disclose that information by law.  Documents are stored in a safe environment away from the counselling sites to ensure privacy and confidentiality.  Electronic records are accessed by encrypted passwords with additional internet privacy security in place.

You agree not to record by any means any session or part thereof including note taking by any means except if agreed to. Failure to do so would constitute a severe breach of confidentiality.

Fees

Costs are incurred in delivering a service to you.  A consultation fee is payable for each scheduled session by cash, Mastercard or Visa or electronic funds transfer and payable at the time of the appointment.

Internet based or telephone appointments e.g., Skype or Zoom are required to be paid in full prior to the commencement of the counselling session.  This payment may be made by Mastercard, Visa or electronic funds transfer.

Appointment Cancellation Policy

We appreciate that situations arise when you may need to cancel your appointment and appreciate advance notice when this happens. This helps us be respectful to other clients who have requested an earlier appointment than had been arranged with them if that opportunity arises.

Due to difficulties of filling last minute cancellations, we respectfully request 24 hours’ notice of a cancellation before your next scheduled appointment time. If this request is not fulfilled or you fail to attend a scheduled appointment, it will be necessary for you to pay the full amount for that appointment, and you agree to do so. The cancellation fee is payable immediately by cash, Mastercard, Visa or electronic funds transfer. SCLC reserves the right to impose or not impose the cancellation fee at its discretion.

Late or non-payment of cancellation fees and/or counselling sessions may incur an additional charge of $50 to cover administration and payment recovery charges. SCLC reserve the right to impose or not impose this additional charge fee at its discretion.  Non-payment may result in SCLC seeking restitution through debt collection agencies after 2 months.

If you have any questions, please speak to your counsellor. The Client (You) agree to these counselling terms before proceeding.
